Signs That Your Tree May Need

To Be Removed

• Big branches are dying, usually from the tip of the branch backwards • Your tree is losing medium or even large live branches • The leaves are falling off when they shouldn’t be or the leaves do not come back in the spring • Obvious signs that the roots are rotting • Hollow or dead spots in main branches or the trunk • The base of the tree is beginning to decay or rot. All of these symptoms are serious but especially any of the symptoms above that affect the roots or trunk of the tree. What can happen is the roots or trunk no longer support the tremendous weight of the tree and it crashes down on your home or business. An 80 foot hardwood tree with a 24” diameter has a weight that can exceed 20,000 pounds so these signs are not something to take lightly.
